Cabinet of Natural Curiosities

While looking for new source material for my collages, I came across the "Cabinet of Natural Curiosities" commissioned by Albertus Seba in 1731.  It's a beautiful book filled with brilliantly colored illustrations of over 400 specimens including reptiles, butterflies, and exotic plants and animals. I am fascinated by this collection and have been incorporating the gorgeous specimen illustrations into my artwork.
